‘Friends’ was one of the most successful American TV sitcoms of all time. Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the show was aired on NBC in 1994, lasting ten seasons, for ten years.
The show revolves around six characters–six best friends–three women and three men in their 20s-30s living in New York City.
The show is incredibly funny, has romance, drama and fantastic acting.
Jennifer Aniston plays Rachel Green, the spoiled, but kind and adorable girl. Having a rich father, she decides to start her own life, working as a waitress.
Monica Geller, played by Courteney Cox. She is an intelligent girl, who works as a chef in Manhattan. She is obsessive and controlling, but also incredibly sweet.
Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) is a paleontologist at the museum. He is Monica’s older brother, who is secretly in love with Rachel for many years.
Joey Tribbiabi (Matt LeBlanc) is a warm, but not-so-bright guy. He is a struggling actor, who has two passions in life: food and girls.
Phoebe Buffay is played by Lisa Kudrow. She is one of the funniest characters on the show. She plays the guitar, sings off key, has a dark past and a weird personality.
Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry, is the only person in the group who has a corporative job, and no one knows what he does for living. He is a bit of a loser in love with a sarcastic sense of humor.
America and the whole world fell in love with this show. Fourteen years later, we were hoping for the Friends Reunion, but, unfortunately, it is not happening. Fans are disappointed, but, even if we don’t see all six friends together again, we have 236 episodes, and ‘Friends’ will forever remain a major TV sitcom about New York City.
