This morning I received a message on Facebook: “Hi.
You are a motivator. Can you tell me in a few sentences
how to overcome my fears and be happy?”
Such question is powerful and, at the same time
, is charmingly naïve.
Our lives would be so much easier if growing up we
had a school subject: How to Find Happiness?
Who wouldn’t wish to learn the tools how to overcome fears,
to be in control of life, how to avoid pain and
surround yourself with only joy?
But there is no such class.
Who will teach it?
We’ve been taught everything about life except
the most important of all:
how to reach this magical land of happiness?..
We go through life, chasing dreams, competing,
making money and running after goals.
We feel that when we get “there”, we will find happiness.
The road is difficult for most. The tests are all around us.
We fail, we get disappointed, we lose faith, we give up.
We stop believing in dreams and in ourselves,
and lose an ability to trust that happiness is possible to find.
We grow up.
We put the smart masks on and teach our
kids to be logical in the direction of their dreams.
We think we have an experience and know better.
But, the reality is–we are just lost in the sea of life.
Our dreams remain just dreams, and
we cannot explain the logic behind life’s treatment.
Some people find relief in the religion
that helps to realize that pain is needed,
and we learn and grow through that.
Happiness is possible only after death,
some religious folks would say.
No offence to any vision or way of thinking,
but we live now–today!
Don’t you want to feel amazing, live with passion,
be proud of who you are?
I bet most of us would choose waking up in the morning
and inhaling love and happiness, not stress and fears.
We all want to find purpose.
We all wish to shake fears and delete
the pain from our hearts and minds.
Who says we must suffer? Who says that the
suffering leads to a better life?
I disagree that misery helps in any way
except attracting more and more misery for our future.
We desire to make our dreams come true, but,
often, we don’t believe we deserve more than what we already have.
Life is short. Everyone would agree.
But days are long when you are in pain.
What I’m trying to say here is a
bit scary sounded:
We choose Pain.
We do it subconsciously.
For instance, if you failed more than once,
you might hate it,
but you know this state of mind well.
Your mind knows it. And it chooses it all over again.
Here comes the free will. Your free choice.
Do not repeat the painful stories of your life.
Understand what is happening to you,
and take your life in your own hands.
Work on your mindset.
Stop worrying about tomorrow.
No animal on this planet does that.
Focus on positive. Ignore negative thoughts.
Dare to live the life you desire.
We are much more than just slaves
who spend their precious days on working for rent and food.
Life is not meant to be a survival.
The day I understood that was the day I was truly born.
