The Finance, engaged in the investigation of the collapse of Morandi Bridge, was presented in the offices of Ismes/Cesi and the Politecnico of Milan. Consultants reported to Autostrade per l’Italia some criticalities of the viaduct and invited the company to adopt more stringent monitoring in particular sensors (never installed).
More specifically, the financiers have seized computer memories, duplicated the contents of the phones, and conducted new interrogations. The suspicion is that on the collapse of Morandi Bridge, with 43 victims on August 14th, an attempt at screening was also staged.
Have the reports been agreed or softened?
The shadow of a possible misdirection, even if only attempted, comes from the strange incident that occurred on the night of August 14th, just a few hours after the tragedy in which 43 people lost their lives. A commercial employee of Ismes/Cesi, at the request of Autostrade, sent the report again (dated 2016), accompanying it with a strange e-mail that seemed to impute the collapse of structural problems of the work – a strange alibi for the concessionary company.
