Fashion…No one in the world is completely indifferent to it.
Fashion week is coming to New York City in just one day, and the world is waiting with anticipation for another unpredictable wave in a history of fashion.
Paris still remains the queen of Moda, but NYC is hardly behind. And it all started in 1943–the first fashion week in NYC.
World War II prevented fashion industry people from traveling to Paris. And this hard time for Europe gave NYC an opportunity to share the crown of fashion with Paris.
New York won its fashion name by what it does best–bringing new ideas and advertising them well. And today New York City is not only known for being a financial center and the heart of the Broadway theater. Today New York is the king of fashion as well.
Since the middle of the 20th century, America started promoting the true stars and inventors of styles and the fashion tricks, who were behind the curtains–the designers. First american designers were brave and unique in their language of style and colors, and NYC fashion career took off.
But why when we think of fashion we still immediately think of Paris?
The very first fashion designer in the history of the world was Charles Frederick Worth–an Englishman living in Paris. Before Worth, there were, no doubt, very talented dressmakers who worked for queens. But the true designers era started with Worth and with Paris. Then, of course, when we mention fashion, we cannot forget Milan and London, where the top designers of today reside, create, and show their original work.
All talented people see this world through the eyes of a child. Designers are no exception. They bring to us the game of colors, melodies, passions, desires, purity, curiosity and excitement. They are the collectors of beauty, and they create that beauty themselves.
The most desirable week is coming, and we all wonder what will it be like this autumn?
