The conclusion to the first full week of the 2018 NFL preseason came on Saturday evening with a pair of games. The Minnesota Vikings traveled to the Mile High City and outlasted the Denver Broncos, 42-28. Later that night, the Arizona Cardinals rallied to edge out the Los Angeles Chargers, 24-17.
So here are all the final scores from Week 1 of the 2018 NFL preseason:
Pittsburgh Steelers 31, Philadelphia Eagles 14
New England Patriots 26, Washington Redskins 17
Carolina Panthers 28, Buffalo Bills 23
New Orleans Saints 24, Jacksonville Jaguars 20
Cincinnati Bengals 30, Chicago Bears 27
Houston Texans 17, Kansas City Chiefs 10
Baltimore Ravens 33, Los Angeles Rams 7
Green Bay Packers 31, Tennessee Titans 17
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26, Miami Dolphins 24
Cleveland Browns 20, New York Giants 10
Indianapolis Colts 19, Seattle Seahawks 17
San Francisco 49ers 24, Dallas Cowboys 21
New York Jets 17, Atlanta Falcons 0
Oakland Raiders 16, Detroit Lions 10
Minnesota Vikings 42, Denver Broncos 28
Arizona Cardinals 24, Los Angeles Chargers 17
With the Baltimore Ravens’ win over the Chicago Bears in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, John Harbaugh’s team is 2-0 this summer while new Chicago head coach Matt Nagy and his club are winless in two tries. Meanwhile, we saw a lot of promising rookie performances this week from the likes of running back Saquon Barkley (New York Giants) and quarterbacks Baker Mayfield (Cleveland Browns) and Sam Darnold (New York Jets).
While there were not a lot of stars on display this week, that will certainly change with the second full week of action. The NFL regular season is less than one month away and it’s time to shake off the rust.
