Nigeria Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has explained the rationale behind his decision not to invite new Bordeaux number ten Samuel Kalu to the Super Eagles, saying that Moses Simon is a better winger.
Having recently completed a move to Bordeaux, the Super Eagles boss has not ruled out the possibility of calling up Kalu for the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches.
Rohr said, I never selected him, I saw him play, but in his team, I took another, which is Simon Moses.
He is in my group since the beginning, he was a winger two years ago, fast. He is almost the same, but I found him better than Kalu.
Rohr also said we have many fast wingers in Nigeria. Before, there is a Plethora of attackers. But now we will monitor him, Simon Moses was in my group, he was the only injured player I had before the Would Cup. He played with Kalu in La Gantoise.
