The post-election violence in Zimbabwe had a negative impact and left many in physical and psychological pain.
Some apolitical citizens and opposition supporters complained that they had been abducted and received the worst beating ever by the merciless military. This happened during the post-election demonstrations by the opposition which led to massive violence on August 1.
One of the victims by the name Jules said that he was beaten while on a township bar that weekend. Out of that tragic event, six people lost their lives.
The victims complained about how they were trampled, beaten and demanded to tell where Happymore Chidziwa was.
The massive beating continued until when the military realized that they did not know where he was and left them. The heads of mission of the EU and the United States in Zimbabwe complained of a severe violation of human rights.
The president-elect Mananangwa promised to do an independent investigation of the violence.
