Raed Jadallah’s sea is blocked by an Israeli sniper.
This is the story of Raed Jadallah from the beach refugee camp of Gaza. He is one of the best surfers in Palestine. He practiced hard to get there. His ambitions were high and simple.
His practice almost paid off and his endeavors were just as close as he was to receive a surfers’ training course in Italy in 2017, but Raed could not make it. The Isreali authorities prevented him from leaving Gaza.
On April, 6 this year, Raed was sharing his Palestinian love and supporting his brothers of the land, supporting the right to refuge to Palestine. Simply by waving the Palestinian flag he was badly injured by an Isreali sniper.
“I was shot with an explosive bullet in my left leg,” Raed said. “I will not be able to go back to surfing Because my muscles will not be as strong as they were. At the moment, I can not move my leg.”
Since the injury, the 26 years old man has been a construction worker. He might have fished, but the Israeli forces fatally attack fishers.
Raed was the breadwinner of his family. His other brother Medhat, who was 17, was killed by Israeli forces in 2000 ..
With Sorrow, 8,000 people were injured in the Great March.
